Boys will be boys

This is going to be a short post as I am on my way out of town. I had to update you all on the "event" that took place over the weekend. I was at work on Saturday night and called home, as I usually do, just to see how thing are going. Keep in mind that it was a great day about 70 degrees out and all the kids on the block were out and lots of people washing their cars making for "water puddles in the street." This Saturday the conversation was as follows between John and I .

Me: How is it going?
John: Well we may have had an incident
Me: What happened?
John: Well you may hear about it from the neighbors.
Me: Oh jease what happened?
John: Well the little boys (Nate and Alex) decided that they were going to play in the water. I (John) was inside with Jacob for just a second and Tracie (one of our neighbors and friends) came to the door with the boys who were naked as a jay bird. You see they had taken off all, and I mean all, of their clothes and left them on the grass next to the curb and were sitting in one of the puddles of water in the street just having a great time with all the rocks.
Me: Oh my God!!

All the neighbor I talked with said it was so cute and had they had a camera they would have taken a picture. Thank God it was Tracie that found them and thought it was funny. So that is the incident of the weekend at the Reeves house. Stay tunned for more I am sure.

Soccer in Montana

Today was Jacob's first soccer game. I was sort of hoping it would be called off. We had a beautiful day outside yesterday and then today woke up to snow flurries and COLD. But alas game on. He was so excited to get in his shirt and go play. He loves it. John took him and I stayed home with the little boys for a nap. He came home so excited (mostly about the treats at the end) he got to play against one of his little friends from preschool last year. When he got home he got out of his soccer clothes and went up to mom and dads bed to watch a movie and was asleep in 5 min. THIS SOCCER THING IS GOING TO BE GREAT.

The quote for the week in our house was as follows. Alex "Nate, I ate too much pizza and popcorn." Nate "ya me too, my bum bum hurts." All of this as they are playing trains. It was so cute.

Prepairing for Easter

This is by far my favorite holiday and I think that is has something to do with spring and my birthday. I love the flowers and the adorable Easter outfits and the great food. I am always reminded of a special family at this time of year. I used to go to the Grieg's for Easter in Jackson Hole Wyoming with my sister, and it was so much fun. We had great food and tons, and I mean tons, of laughs. They are a wonderful family and created for me wonderful memories.
As a child my family used to go to this resort called Sun River every Easter and it was so much fun we would go skiing and golfing and again many wonderful memories.

As I begin to make memories with my own family I think back to the times that were most special to me and Easter is the one that always comes to mind. So here is the start of our Easter at the Reeves house. We did the yearly egg dying. The boys had a blast. After that was done Jacob and I began our baking. He loves to bake with me and help me. We made our poppy seed cake with icing and our deviled eggs for tomorrow. I cant wait it will be so much fun.

I wish you all a very Happy Easter and hope that you are all making wonderful memories with your families and thinking of past memories that make this holiday so special.

Second time around

I know, I know it has been way to long but I have just now come to the realization that this blog thing is great. Great for friends and family that do not get to see the boys on a regular basis and enjoy all that life has to offer with three boys in the house. We have been a busy family with Preschool, swim lessons, soccer, and finally getting to go out side now that the weather is getting warmer.

The twins are now three and potty trained. It really was not that difficult and we lucked out it took about two week and a jumbo tin of Jellybeans but we got her done. They are full of energy and have a wild imagination. They are great friends and playmates always needing to know where the other is. The are going to be starting preschool in the fall so that will be exciting and new for not only us but their teacher as well as she has never had a set of twins in her class before. (She is in for a treat.)

They have just finished two sessions of swim lessons and are little fish following in their brothers footsteps. Nate was a bit stubborn and did not want to show the teacher he could blow his bubbles so he got to repeat the class and Alex moved on. Well he learned quick and showed teacher Stacy his bubbles and they will be in the same class next session.

Jacob is getting so big and so grown up. He is now 5 and in his last year at his wonderful preschool. He loves to learn and is just starting to read and recognize words. We have begun reading the Magic Tree House book with him which I highly recommend to anyone with 4-5 year olds. He is just learning how to ride his bike with no training wheels (pictures to come). He is such a determined boy and just keeps getting back up and trying again. He also has his moments of teasing his brothers and having a bit of an attitude. He is excited to start kindergarten in the fall and is always asking us questions about it. He has just started soccer and it is great not only for him but his parents as well. It is a great outlet for him. He is so loving and loves to give us hugs and tell us that "Today I am gonna really try to be good all day long."

I have made a promise to post on this blog at least once a week with pictures and updates of what is going on in our busy lives. So send your comments or notes we would love to hear from our friends and family. Here are a few pictures for now.
